Tyson Fury has made it abundantly clear to boxing organisers: if they want him to fight Oleksandr Usyk, they must stump up an eye-watering $AUD850 million by September 1.

Fury, who retired after his bout against Dillian Whyte but still holds the WBC heavyweight title, is demanding a purse that would be the biggest in boxing history.

Should he and Usyk sign on for a fight, it would result in the victor become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Usyk retained his IBF, WBA and WBO belts in Saudi Arabia on Sunday (AEST) thanks to a majority decision victory over Anthony Joshua to set up a potential bout against Fury.

But the 34-year-old stated it will take a lot of money to tempt him out of retirement and settle the debate as to who is the baddest man on the planet.

“To all these suitors out there who want to make the fight, I’m going to give you all seven days until September 1 to come up with the money,” Fury said on social media.

“If not, thank you very much, it’s been a blast. I’m retired.

“All offers submitted must be to my lawyer Robert Davis, in writing with proof of funds. So let the games begin.”

According to The Telegraph, negotiations for the fight have commenced with the bout most likely to take place in the Middle East.

Should it eventuate, Fury would most certainly not be short on confidence.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the Gypsy King branded Usyk a “struggling fighter” and that he spent 12 rounds “tip-tapping” against Joshua, who’s “legacy is in tatters” after the second consecutive loss.

“I don’t respect him [Usyk], I don’t think he’s a great fighter,” Fury said.

“I think he’s a struggling fighter and I’ve seen more excitement on a Friday night in Morecambe.

“I didn’t take anything from it. Not being disrespectful to Joshua – it is what it is – he found his level. And he’s come up wanting at [the] top level. He’s lost three of his last five fights so clearly he has come up wanting [at] a high level.

“But I didn’t think Usyk landed a worthwhile punch in 12 rounds, tip-tapping. He couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding. I think AJ’s legacy is in tatters at the moment. Tatters.”
