LIVE — Australia has been stunned by Zimbabwe in the third ODI in Townsville, skittled for just 141 while leg-spinner Ryan Burl took 5-10 from just three overs.

Australia lost the toss and was sent in to bat, but crumbled in spectacular fashion.

David Warner was the only shining light for Australia, making 94 runs off 96 balls, while Glenn Maxwell chipped in with 19 of 22.

Outside of the duo, not one of the other nine Australians made more than five runs.

MORE TO COME

Australia had been utterly dominant in the series, winning the first match with 99 balls to spare, and the second inside just 15 overs.

MATCH CENTRE: Australia vs Zimbabwe, third ODI, live scoreboard

The third match was a crucial opportunity for captain Aaron Finch, whose form woes continue. He’s played 11 ODIs this year scoring just 164 runs at 14.90.

Nonetheless, selectors chair George Bailey gave Finch his full support on Friday.

“Finchy’s record over his entire career is a pretty incredible one,” Bailey told reporters.

“He’s the leader of the team and I think you’d be a very brave person to write him off.

“Very excited for him to lead his team in a home World Cup which is pretty special.”

Australia has resisted the urge to experiment in the final ODI and has stuck with the same XI from Wednesday’s win.
