Collingwood star Mason Cox has spilled the beans on the worst date he’s ever been on.
The towering American detailed the painful experience on the latest episode of his podcast The Mason Cox Show and it is rough.

Cox’s nightmare date took place back in his teenage days in Texas with his own mother included in the horror ordeal.
“I was 16, scarred me for life,” Cox began.
“This girl named Ashley, lovely gal lovely gal. One of those friends you know you’re like friends that you take to the next level.
“I was talking back and forth and she’s like ‘Oh I want to see this movie’ and I was like ‘Oh okay why don’t we go together?’
“Guess what the movie was … Chicago.
“I had no intention to want to go and see Chicago but I wanted to hang out with her so I was like you know what, I’ll go see Chicago.
“I’m before driving so mum drops me off at the movies, she doesn’t actually know this bit. Drops me off and I get into the movie theatre and I text her asking where she’s at.
“She goes ‘Oh sorry, something has come up’.
“So I’m in Chicago at the movie theatre by myself and I just watched the whole thing. Watched the whole thing on my own.
“I didn’t want my mother to know that I got ditched at a date so therefore I just had to sit there for two hours watching this movie I wanted nothing to do with.
“She comes back, picks me up and asks how was it. I said ‘Great time mum loved it, she’s a lovely gal unfortunately she’s moving to China next year I will never see her again’.”
Cox will have to put the traumatic date behind him when he lines up on Saturday afternoon against minor premiers Geeling in the first qualifying final.
The Pies have been the surprise packet of the AFL season, pulling off heartbreaking victories each and every week.
They are a remarkable 7-0 in games decided by six points or fewer and 11-1 when the margin extends out to 11 points.
In a bonus for the Pies the contest will take place at the MCG, a ground where the Cats have lost nine of their past 13 finals.
Geelong emerged victorious in their previous encounter earlier in the season when they pulled off a stunning comeback to win by 13 points.
The minor premiers head into the clash as the overwhelming favourites.
