HOW TO WATCH?

The BBL Draft will be broadcast straight after Australia’s first ODI match against Zimbabwe. You can watch the BBL Draft LIVE on Foxtel and Kayo. It is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm.

HOW WILL THE DRAFT WORK?

The draft will have four rounds:

– Round 1: Platinum players only

– Round 2: Platinum or Gold

– Round 3: Gold or Silver

– Round 4: Silver or Bronze

Round one follows the same pick order as drawn (see below), before rounds two to four follow a snaking order.

Clubs can pass picks, but must sign at least two, and at most three, players by the end of the draft.

The draft will also offer one retention pick to clubs, who can override another club’s selection and retain a player if they played for the them in the previous season.

Clubs can still contract up to four or five replacement overseas players in addition to the two or three picked in the draft (up to a total of seven internationals in total).

However, the replacement player must have also nominated for the draft, unless approved by CA.
