That’s two epic finals on the trot for Jordan De Goey, who’s adding dollars to his next contract with every hour he spends on the field.

1. Patrick Lipinski
Constantly drove the ball inside 50 for his side. Won lots of inside ball but was also polished by foot on the outside. 6
2. Jordan De Goey
Adding more dollars to his deal with every minute he plays, let alone every game he plays. Electric all game, bursting out the front of several stoppages, gaining territory for the Pies and kicking the ball with pinpoint precision. Kicked the Magpies’ third goal of the game. His work, in particular, out of centre bounce stoppages was breathtaking, while his second efforts showed just how determined he is at the moment. Twelve of his 24 touches led to Magpies scores. Fox Footy’s Jason Dunstall said he “loved the way he’s leading the midfield”, while Jordan Lewis said De Goey had “bought in to both sides of the ball”. 9
3. Isaac Quaynor
Had a run on several Dockers half-forwards. Not a lot of offensive drive, but did his job. 5
5. Jamie Elliott
Always loomed as an awkward match-up for Freo’s defence — and that came to fruition on Saturday night. Was a handful, both close to goal and up the ground. Snapped two clever goals in the first half then produced a wonderful defensive effort in his forward 50 at the start of the final term that brought Pies fans to their feet. 7
7. Josh Daicos
The wingman provided his side with ample drive forward, particularly early in the game when it was up for grabs. 7
8. Trent Bianco
Into the team for Taylor Adams. Used the ball efficiently by foot. Will be interesting to see if he holds his spot in the side for the preliminary final. 6
9. John Noble
Lined up next to Michael Walters at the first bounce but rotated through several Dockers half-forwards. So classy and shrewd with his ball use off half-back, consistently setting up his teammates. 7
10. Scott Pendlebury
Game No. 357 and started it like it was Game No. 157. Had 11 disposals, eight contested possessions and two clearances in the first quarter alone. Still absolutely flying at 34 years of age. 8
14. Darcy Cameron
Competed hard in the ruck but didn’t quite have the influence he would’ve liked forward of centre. Copped a couple of heavy knocks to the face throughout the match and had to come to the bench for attention. 5
22. Steele Sidebottom
All class as usual, going at 100 per cent by foot and making smart decisions with ball in hand. 7
25. Jack Crisp
In stunning form, regularly carving up opposition sides. A terrific eight-disposal opening quarter, driving the Pies forward by bursting out of stoppages and patrolling the central corridor. Finished with a couple of goals and among the leading clearance-winners on the ground. 9
28. Nathan Murphy
Played as the third tall defender, so was often prepared to leave his man. Been a great addition to this side as the year has progressed. 5
30. Darcy Moore
Safe as houses down back. Barely made a blue all night. Started on Rory Lobb, but stayed as close to the defensive goalsquare as possible in a Steven May-like role. Backed up his excellent final on Tom Hawkins seven days earlier. 7
31. Beau McCreery
Applied tremendous defensive pressure early to help set the tone for his club. 5
32. Will Hoskin-Elliott
Could’ve had a big night if he’d kicked straight, with his goalkicking well off the radar. Booted 0.3. 5
33. Jack Ginnivan
There’s no stage too big for him. The perfect start, soccering through the first goal of the game — the third time this season he’d kicked the first goal of the game. Then conjured a goal from nothing in tight traffic in the third term. Finished with three goals and looked dangerous whenever the ball went in his direction. 7
35. Nick Daicos
Seemed to cop a defensive tag from Sam Switkowski. Didn’t faze him at all, using the ball efficiently as he set the Pies up with aplomb all night. Went at 81 per cent by foot. 8
37. Brayden Maynard
Started the game at the opening centre bounce then drifted into defence where he played on several Dockers forwards. Appeared proppy in the first term but stayed out on the ground or most of the night. 6
38. Jeremy Howe
Clearly had more intercepts than any other player on the ground. Took Griffin Logue at the first bounce but also had time on other Dockers forwards like Rory Lobb. Constantly got himself in the right spots to win the ball back for the Pies, while he also laid a couple of goal-saving tackles. 7
40. Ash Johnson
The definition of an ‘almost night’. Could’ve had a jaw-dropping highlights reel if he’d kicked straight, finishing with 0.3. 5
41. Brody Mihocek
Had Alex Pearce for company. Got his confidence up early with a composed set-shot snap for Collingwood’s second goal then added a second in the third term. Remarkably, seven of his nine disposals ended up in Collingwood scores. 7
45. Josh Carmichael

46. Mason Cox
Perhaps the best aspect about Cox this year has been how rarely he’s been beaten in the air, which was on display against the Dockers. Was in party mode in the final quarter, which included kicking the sealer at the start of the term — his 100th AFL goal — then an awesome contested mark in the final two minutes that sparked bonkers scenes in the grandstands. 7
