Departing Broncos playmaker Tyson Gamble has dropped a bombshell on his way out the door, revealing players turn to Adam Reynolds for guidance over coach Kevin Walters.
Gamble is leaving Brisbane at the end of their season – which will likely be this weekend – to join the Knights, and has spoken with extraordinary candour about his current club on a podcast.
The Broncos five-eighth revealed his halves partner Reynolds is the “mastermind” of Brisbane’s attack and who they turn to for advice.

Gamble had plenty of praise for Walters’ enthusiasm when speaking on the podcast three weeks ago, but suggested Reynolds is running the show in Brisbane.
“Kev’s the coach but Reyno is the go-to man for everybody,” Gamble said
“If you’ve got a question about footy or the team, you go to him.
“It’s not a knock on Kev but ‘Reyno’ has been around for so long.
“Kevvie really understands footy and he’s a good bloke in getting the team up and about but the modern day is so different to the way Kevvie played footy.
“There are some similarities with how you have to be with attitude and stuff, but Reyno is the mastermind around our attack at the moment.”
Gamble has played just eight games this season but Walters has recalled him for their must-win clash against the Dragons on Saturday night.
The Broncos have been in the top eight since Round 9 and were fourth on the ladder as recently as Round 19.
But they’ve lost four of five since then and capitulations against the Storm and Eels over the past fortnight have allowed the Raiders to take their place in the eight.
To play finals, Brisbane must beat the Dragons on Saturday and hope Canberra lose to the bottom-placed Wests Tigers on Sunday.
The Broncos can still sneak in if the Raiders win, but they would need to thrash the Dragons in order to close the 43-point advantage the Green Machine hold on differential.

The situation has seen Brisbane officials place Walters’ contract extension talks on ice and Gamble’s comments will only put more pressure on the embattled coach.
Gamble emphasised he had no personal issues with Walters and even praised his approach to coaching which allows players and assistant coaches to have plenty of input
“We have a lot of assistant coaches that take over,” Gamble said.
“I’m not saying Kevvie takes a backward step, but he knows what to say and when to say it and when to get involved.
“It has worked well this year. He has allowed us to do what we want to do, but when it’s gone too far, he has reigned us back in and said pull your heads in and stick to basics.
“Kevvie has done well considering where we were last year.
“He has got us to be a team again.”
