The Brisbane Heat made 8-137 from their 20 overs after winning the toss and batting at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong, with Jimmy Peirson top scoring with (45).

Star import Colin Munro blasted a six on his way to 8 before he was caught by Will Sutherland off Akeal Hosein.

Max Bryant could only manage 5 before he was caught Andre Russell off the bowling of Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

Sam Billings blasted one isx in his 25 off 19 balls before he was caugfht behind by Sam Harper to give Tom Rogers his first wicket of the night.

Matthew Renshaw compiled a run a ball 29 before he chopped on to give Rogers his second scalp for the over.

Ross Whiteley hit one six in his knock of 8 before he was Rogers’ third wicket for the night in his third over.

Test bowler Michael Neser only made 3 before Akeal Hosein bowled him and his replacement James Bazley for a duck in the same over.

Rogers returned for his final over to have Mark Steketee caught by Harper for 4 to give the paceman career best figutres of 4 for 23.

Heat skipper Jimmy Peirson top scored with 45 not out smashing six boundairies, including four in the last over to guide the Heat to a respectable total.

Peirson smacked 30 off his last 10 balls in a superb finish to the Heat’s innings.
